Going Well as can be expected
Yesterday Peggy was in surgery for restorative plastic surgery for 5 hours. It was a long day. She came thru better than expected. She was supposed to go into ICU for a few days, but that was modified. She is now going into a regular room. I am going into town to see her (a two hour drive in and then two hours out). It's a long way thru heavy traffic. We are optimistic. There is no other option. She will be on crutches or a walker for several months as the foot heals. We don't yet know the pain situation.
The doctor in a call to me after the surgery said there will be at least one more end of Sept. I have the house ready for her. Last night in Church Pastor prayed for her. Typically this isn't the case. We are blessed to have so many good people in our lives.
She will want to hear from you at some point. Hoping that she will be able to come home in a week or so.
